Application Privacy Policy

Application: MailArc

Effective date: July 1, 2026

This policy explains how MailArc accesses, uses, stores, and handles Google user data when you sign in with Google.

Data Accessed

MailArc requests the Gmail OAuth scope https://mail.google.com/ to support user-selected mailbox operations.

  • Gmail message metadata needed for filtering and listing (message ID, sender, recipients, subject, date, size, attachment presence).
  • Gmail message content when you choose to preview or export matching emails.
  • Email attachments when you choose attachment export or attachment-only cleanup.
  • Your Gmail account email address (from Gmail profile) to validate sign-in account matching.

Data Usage

MailArc uses Google user data only to provide the app features you trigger locally on your device:

  • Search/filter Gmail messages by your criteria.
  • Preview selected messages in the app.
  • Export selected messages to local .eml files.
  • Export attachments to local folders you select.
  • Apply optional cleanup actions you explicitly enable: move to Trash, permanent delete, or remove attachments only.

MailArc does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing profiling, or generalized AI/ML model training.

Data Storage and Retention

  • OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device under local app data so you can stay signed in between launches.
  • Exported emails and attachments are stored only in folders you choose.
  • The application does not require a Digit.Solutions cloud backend to process your Gmail data.

Data Sharing

Digit.Solutions does not sell or broker Google user data accessed by MailArc. Data is not intentionally shared with third parties except:

  • with Google APIs as required to perform the Gmail actions you request, or
  • when required by applicable law.

User Controls

  • Use Tools > Clear Auth Token to remove saved authentication state.
  • Delete exported files from your selected local folders at any time.
  • You can revoke app access in your Google Account permissions settings.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Transparent disclosures: this page documents how data is accessed, used, stored, and shared.
  • Minimum permissions: the app requests Gmail access for user-invoked mailbox operations and does not request unrelated Google scopes.
  • Limited Use: Google user data is used only for user-facing features in the app UI (search, preview, export, cleanup).
  • No sale/ads profiling: Google user data is not sold, not transferred to data brokers, and not used for personalized advertising or retargeting.
  • No generalized AI/ML training: Google user data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.
  • Human access restrictions: content is not read by humans except when required for security, legal compliance, or with the user's explicit action/consent.
  • Secure handling: the app uses OAuth and stores tokens/data locally; users are responsible for endpoint/device security and access controls.
  • Material changes: if data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before new use and users will be asked to re-consent where required.
